Below are some details of projects that we have been involved with.
The CLEEN Study
The purpose of this study was to determine whether improved cleaning of shared equipment in hospitals reduced the risk of hospital-acquired infection.

The HAPPEN study
The purpose of this study was to improve oral care for patients in hospital and reduce pneumonia.
Examples of patient and consumers involvement include:
- Interviewing patients with pneumonia
- A specific website for patients with information
- Helping design the intervention and products used
The CATION study
The purpose of this study was to see whether an antiseptic could reduce the risk of UTIs in people who self-catheterise in the community.

- designing the intervention and delivery
- testing data collection processes
- exploring their experience of of a UTI
Patient experience of having a hospital acquired infection
The purpose of this study was to explore patients’ experiences of having an healthcare associated infection.
